Your Skin Up Close: biopsies, pathology and more with Dr. Johanna Moore
Ever had a biopsy? Wonder what happens to that little piece of tissue once it's left your body? Well there's a whole practice of medicine devoted to just that, called dermatopathology. These doctors are experts at looking at the skin under the microscope, and not only help our patients out by rendering a diagnosis, they also help dermatologists out when the clinical picture is fuzzy.
Listen in as I discuss all things skin on a microscopic level with my colleague, Dr. Johanna B. Moore. We'll take a deep dive into this interesting field of medicine and how a little piece of tissue can give us such insight into what's going on inside us.
