A Georgia native from Macon, Dr. Erickson's journey in medicine began with her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, followed by medical school at the University of Rochester. She completed her intern year in internal medicine and her dermatology residency at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Erickson's career is marked by her significant contributions to dermatologic research, with numerous publications in esteemed journals covering melanoma, skin cancer treatment, drug rashes, and skin infections. Her passion for advancing dermatologic knowledge is matched by her unwavering commitment to patient care.

Driven by a personal mission, Dr. Erickson pursued dermatology after losing her grandmother to metastatic melanoma at age 60. This profound experience fuels her dedication to skin cancer prevention, education, and treatment. She aims to help patients avoid similar fates by emphasizing the importance of regular skin exams, effective skin care, and scientifically backed procedures.
